Susan Estrich, the first woman editor-in-chief of the Harvard Law Review and the first woman to run a major-party presidential campaign (for Michael Dukakis), was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on this date in 1952. Estrich’s books include Soulless: Anne Coulter and the Rightwing Church of Hate; Sex & Power; Real Rape (Estrich has been a rape victim); Getting Away with Murder: How Politics is Destroying the Criminal Justice System; and The Case for Hillary Clinton. Estrich is a rare liberal pundit on Fox News and a contributing writer for the Los Angeles Times and USAToday.
