On Monday, November 6th at 6pm ET, via Zoom:
Join Jewish organizers and scholars for an urgent conversation about the political importance of Jewish organizing against Israeli violence and occupation. Speakers will discuss the political analysis and strategic orientation guiding IfNotNow and Jewish Voice for Peace in this moment, as they organize for a ceasefire to end Israel’s latest brutal attacks on Gaza, as well as the long history of Jewish organizing in relation to the Palestinian struggle for freedom, equality, and justice.
This event, moderated by Jewish Currents associate editor Mari Cohen, features Eva Borgwardt, the national spokesperson for IfNotNow; Beth Miller, the political director of Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and JVP Action; Atalia Omer, a professor of religion, conflict, and peace studies at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies and the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame.
This event is co-sponsored by IfNotNow, Jewish Voice for Peace, and Haymarket Books.
