Press Briefing: Israel/Palestine And The Next US Administration

Israel/Palestine in 2025: A Conversation with Organizers & Analysts About the Next US Administration

A virtual event next Thursday, November 21st, at 1pm ET:

As the US prepares for a presidential transition in 2025, many are wondering how evolving political dynamics in Washington could shape global movements defending human rights and freedom of expression—including the Palestinian rights movement.

With President-elect Trump set to take office for a second time, this briefing will gather organizers, political analysts, and legal experts to examine the trajectory of the movement for Palestinian rights, including efforts to stop the genocide in Gaza and escalating violence in the region.

Join us for a conversation on evolving strategies, challenges, and priorities in the context of potential policy shifts under a Trump administration. The conversation will touch on US foreign policy as well as domestic policies and dynamics impacting advocates of Palestinian rights.

Cosponsored with Just Vision, the Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU), the Center for International Policy, and the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR).

The briefing will feature the following speakers:

Iman Abid-Thompson is the director of organizing and advocacy at the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR), an organization that provides resources and strategic support to the US-based Palestine solidarity movement.

Matt Duss is the executive vice president at the Center for International Policy, which works to advance a more peaceful, just, and sustainable US approach to foreign policy.

Beth Miller is the political director at Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) Action, a multiracial, intergenerational movement of Jews and allies working towards justice and equality for Palestinians and Israelis by transforming US policy.

Fadi Quran is a policy member of Al-Shabaka: The Palestinian Policy Network, a former political prisoner, and a West Bank-based Palestinian community organizer.

Diala Shamas is a senior staff attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) where she works on challenging government and law enforcement abuses perpetrated under the guise of national security, both in the US and abroad.

Suhad Babaa (Moderator) is the president and executive director of Just Vision.
