Jewish Currents Live! Registration Opens Today [Non Subscriber Non Member]

Over the last year, so many of you—readers, contributors, friends, and supporters—have reached out to say how much the work of Jewish Currents has meant through this dark and difficult year. You’ve told us that the magazine is not just a website or a newsletter, but a community.

Well, it’s time to come together.

On September 15th at the Tow Performing Arts Center we’ll gather for Jewish Currents Live. We’ll dig into the challenges of the moment through discussions with scholars and activists on the politics of Israel/Palestine, the future of the Jewish left, and the state of progressive American politics amid rising authoritarianism. In innovative and provocative artist performances, we’ll explore new avenues of possibility for ourselves, our communities, and our shared struggles.

Tickets are $54 (or $18 for members and students). Please reach out to JCLive@jewishcurrents.org if you want to attend and the cost is prohibitive. If you are not able to attend in person, most events will be live streamed, and virtual tickets are available for $36 (or FREE for members). All ticket proceeds will be donated to Palestine Children’s Relief Fund to provide immediate aid to families in Gaza and Palestine Legal to support activists facing repression here in the United States.

Join guests including Jewish Currents editor-at-large Peter Beinart, journalist Rula Jabreal, novelist Adania Shibli, legal scholar and activist Noura Erakat, director Emma Seligman, UN rapporteur Francesca Albanese, performers Alex Tatarsky and Fargo Tbakhi, and many more.

Stay tuned for information about special, limited enrollment lunchtime sessions! The full schedule will be released on September 1st. For other questions, be sure to visit the FAQs page.

We can’t wait to see you,

Daniel May
Publisher

PS: To pull off an event of this scale, we need support! Volunteering at Jewish Currents Live is a great way to get involved with our work. Volunteer shifts of varying lengths and capacity are available. If you’re interested, write to JCLive@jewishcurrents.org.
