FRIDAY! Peter Beinart and Lily Greenberg Call: A Protest Resignation from the Biden Administration

This Friday: Peter Beinart and Lily Greenberg Call: A Protest Resignation from the Biden Administration

Join Jewish Currents editor-at-large Peter Beinart for a conversation with Lily Greenberg Call, an interior department staffer who became the first Jewish political appointee to resign from the Biden administration to protest its support of Israel’s assault on Gaza. Greenberg Call was a former AIPAC activist, and her journey away from this pro-Israel position illustrates the tectonic shift that is happening among young American Jews over Israel and the Palestinian struggle for freedom.

This event is for Jewish Currents members only. Lily Greenberg Call is a former Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff at the Department of Interior, who last week resigned to protest US policy in Gaza. She is the first Jewish Biden administration staffer to resign over the war. For ten years, until 2022, she was a youth activist for AIPAC.
