Announcing the Program for Jewish Currents Live

Dear Reader,

We got a bit delayed, but without further ado, and with great excitement, here is the schedule for Jewish Currents Live. I hope you’ll join us this Sunday, September 15th, starting at 10:30am EST.

I’m in awe of the collection of luminaries that we are gathering in one place; I hope you will be too. The day is full of live tapings of your favorite podcasts; discussions with thinkers, creators, and doers; and performances by some of the most interesting artists working today. And if you’re a member—it’s not too late to join!—in the evening we’ll have a comedy show hosted by Morgan Bassichis and music by Slavic Soul Party at the historic Angel Orensanz Foundation on the Lower East Side.

To join us this Sunday the 15th, register today for $54, or $18 for all sustaining members. All ticket proceeds will support direct aid to displaced families in Gaza and activists facing repression here in the United States.

You can find the entire agenda on our site, but I’m especially honored to be moderating “Palestinian Liberation After the Destruction of Gaza” with guests coming in from around the world: Dana El Kurd, assistant professor at the University of Richmond; Noura Erakat, human rights attorney and an associate professor at Rutgers University; Ahmed Moor, writer and activist; Amjad Iraqi, senior editor at +972 Magazine; and Faqi Quran, senior director at Avaaz.

Together we’ll explore some of the thorniest questions facing the movement for Palestine nearly a year into an ongoing genocide and discuss where we go from here.

These are difficult times, but I am so proud of the program our team has put together and glad that we have the opportunity to gather. There is still time to get your tickets, but capacity is limited so be sure to register today.

I hope to see you there.

Sincerely,
Arielle, Editor-in-Chief
